MITEF Greece Startup Competition 2015
The MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF) Greece Startup Competition is a technology accelerating competition in which Greek startups compete for prizes. If you have an exciting new product or service, participating in MITEF Greece Startup Competition will give you access to the practical knowledge, mentorship, and resources to take your venture to the next level. Competition winners are the best of the best in Greece, and will receive global recognition through the MIT Enterprise Forum Global, a global network devoted to enabling early-stage entrepreneurs to transform ideas into world-changing companies, as well as through MIT Technology Review, a media company wholly owned by MIT.

Prizes / Benefits
The 3 final winners, who will be announced on June, 2015, will compete for cash prizes and in-kind services totaling more than 150,000 euro. Among the in-kind grants are: legal counseling in Greece and the US, financial services, free professional housing in Greece etc. Most importantly, MITEF Greece Startup Competition offers a unique value proposition to gain global recognition, as winners will be celebrated through the MITEF global network and the MIT Technology Review.
Upon completion of applications on the 10th of January, the jury will evaluate and select the 25 semifinalists, according to the following core criteria: innovation, scalability and potential impact in both local and global markets. During the second round (February-April 2015) the 25 teams will have the opportunity to work intensively during a 3-month period with their assigned local and international mentors and attend free workshops, that will further their startup goals, such as: Perfect Pitch, Legal Advice, Communication, Finance & Tax. MITEF Greece’s local and international strategic partners, such as the law firms POTAMITISVEKRIS and Foley & Lardner LLP, EY, V+O Communication and Plano & Simple, will run those extensive workshops. During this period participants will have a unique opportunity to improve their business skills, gain hands-on knowledge and valuable input, network in Greece and abroad. At the end of the 3-month intensive program, the top 10 startups will advance to the next and final stage. For the third and final round (June 2015) the top 10 startups will have the opportunity to present their ventures to a live audience and a judging panel that will include investors and experts will select the top 3 winners.
