Introducing the MIT Enterprise Forum IDE Startup Competition for Innovation Ventures in the Mekong Region.
The MITEF IDE Startup Competition is a part of the MIT Enterprise Forum Global, a global entrepreneurial support organization owned by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The MITEF IDE Startup Competition promotes, accelerates, rewards, and celebrates the “best of the best” Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurs within the countries of Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.
The MITEF IDE Startup Competition focuses on acceleration and development, not just prizes. Teams develop their companies during a dedicated four-month acceleration program that includes coaching, skill development, and testing of the value proposition using MIT’s 24 Steps Process. Prizes include seed funding and an invitation to join the seven-day IDE Boot Camp at MIT.
Eligibility
- Must be innovation-driven ventures
- Have at least one team member legally residing in either Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar,
- Vietnam or Thailand.
- Have at least three team members, with a maximum of six individuals.
- All participating team members must be at least 18 years old.
- Not have accepted any Institutional Funding for the idea or startup submitted.
- Not have accepted any Non-Institutional Funding exceeding US $150,000.
